Clerk’s Office
The Hamilton County Juvenile Court Clerk’s Office is typically the first stop for visitors to Juvenile Court. It is the central clearinghouse where all Court documents, including complaints and motions on new and existing cases, are held. The Court processes over 20,000 filings every year for delinquency, dependency, custody, child support, and traffic cases.
The Clerk’s Office is responsible for:
- Maintaining records
- Responding to requests for information
- Assisting the public, including attorneys, in person and by phone
- Filing complaints, motions, and petitions
- Processing and filing Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) for attorneys only
- Processing service for all court hearings
- Processing required reports
- Scheduling hearings
The Hamilton County Juvenile Court Clerk’s Office is located on the first floor, to the left after you pass through security, at 800 Broadway. It is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. If you are filing for one of the following, please note the daily cut-off times:
Juvenile Protection Order: 1pm for same day hearings
Emergency Order: 2pm for same day hearings
Any Additional Filings: 3:30pm
You must be in line no later than the times listed.

Docket Clerks (Case Managers)
Inside the courtroom, docket clerks assist our Judges and Magistrates, and clients, in the daily running of their courtroom. The goal is to prepare and run the docket efficiently and effectively.
Docket Clerks are responsible for:
- Setting court dates
- Mailing notices and entries
- Checking parties in for hearings
- Return of service/certified mail
- Translating forms
- Zoom access and recordings
Questions about your particular case, including court dates and decisions, may be directed to our Docket Clerks.
Please know that we can share basic information like Court dates or Zoom information. However, to obtain copies of entries or any other personal information, you need to come to the Court in person with valid identification.
