Hamilton County Juvenile Court Advisory Council
In 1957, an advisory council with a 501(c)(3) charitable status was established with a goal to raise funds to support education-based, extra-curricular, and incentive programming for court-involved children.
Over the years, the Council has raised and distributed funds to support activities including the creation of a gun education program, participation in a robotics competition, and sponsorship of a variety of motivational events and opportunities including speakers and cultural outings. Funds have also been used to help boost efforts by ProKids, a community of volunteers who support and advocate for abused and neglected children.
After more than a decade of inactivity, the Advisory Council reorganized in 2023, under the direction of Administrative Judge Kari Bloom. Its membership is made up of community volunteers from a variety of backgrounds including business, education, medicine, law enforcement, social services leaders, and system-involved parents.

To support the work of the Advisory Council with a donation, please contact LaDonna Wallace Smith, director of community engagement, at 513-946-9245 or lwallace@juvcourt.hamilton-co.org.
“Those of us who were privileged in past years to be able to administer those private funds sometimes saw an almost magical transformation in the behavior of some recipients.” – Judge Sylvia Hendon (Retired)
